7 Tips for New RVers

Ready for the RV life? Here are seven things to do before the first adventure, so you set off prepared.

1. Find the perfect fit

2. Practice parking

Get comfortable driving it before you go anywhere. A big empty parking lot will teach you the turning radius and how it reverses.

3. Run through a checklist

One for packing, and one for the walk-around visual inspection before you pull away.

4. Avoid over-packing

Clutter and weight both hurt. Lightweight, multipurpose kitchen items, a meal plan that reduces waste, and versatile clothes in coordinating layers.

5. Spend a night at home

Sleep in it in the driveway or at a campground nearby. You’ll work out any kinks or add supplies before you set off on your holiday.
