Take a Wine Region RV Tour
Take a Wine Region RV Tour
As fall harvest time winds down, hit the road for an RV road trip through Canada’s top wine regions — from British Columbia’s lower mainland to Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley.
Okanagan Valley, BC
Canada’s second largest wine producing area, and a popular RV destination year-round. Park at an RV park and take a guided tour with transport, so nobody has to be the designated driver.
Fraser Valley, BC
Overshadowed by the Okanagan, and growing fast. The self-guided Circle Farm Tour takes in wineries, artisanal cheese makers and farm shops. Fort Camping in Fort Langley and Eagle Wind RV Park in Aldergrove are both good bases.
Niagara Peninsula, ON
One of Ontario’s most celebrated winemaking regions, from the iconic estates to small artisanal operations. In November the Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries run “Taste the Season”.
Prince Edward County, ON
More than 40 wineries on the shores of Lake Ontario, along with excellent beaches, spread across farming hamlets and villages. County Shores has RV sites.
Eastern Townships, QC
The Brome-Missisquoi Wine Route is a 140-kilometre marked circuit through beautiful country, in a region producing 60% of Quebec’s wine.
Annapolis Valley, NS
Over 18 wineries and vineyards, with award-winning bottles among them.
