Making a 2023 RVing bucket List

A new year for new adventures. While summer evenings around the campfire still feel like a long way off, it’s the perfect time to start planning this year’s RV trips.

Begin with a brainstorming session

Get everyone who’s coming in one room and throw ideas around without judging them. No matter how far-fetched, there are no bad ideas at this stage — write them all down.

Dream and compare

Or have everyone make their own list separately, then compare. Wherever two lists overlap, that’s your priority.

Think big

A multi-week trip through the Maritimes, up the Dempster Highway in the Yukon, across Canada, or maybe even south down the Oregon coast.

Think small

Local weekend trips are just as rewarding, and a lot cheaper in fuel. There is more nearby than you think.

Take in a festival or event

A music festival, a fair, a stampede — many of them have camping on site so you’re in the middle of it.

Think outside the usual bucket list
